History

The Academy was founded in 2005 by Rick Anderson.  Rick is a Certified Firearms Instructor and Chief Range Safety Officer through the NRA and has completed several additional Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor and Special Operations courses through from some of the best training schools in the world to include ITI (International Training Inc.), Response Options, CQB Inc. and Team Spartan to name a few.  Rick is also a U.S. Navy Veteran and attended the Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL Training course until he was injured in a training accident and unable to heal sufficiently to continue.  After BUD/S Training, Rick served on board ship as a Quartermaster, Master Helmsman, Parachute Rigger & member of the Security Force until returning to Texas in 1991 where Rick served as a Fugitive Investigator for several years operating on both sides of the U.S./Mexico border.

In the early 1980's Rick began his career as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff and a professional Fire Fighter on the South Texas border and eventually attained a regular law enforcement certification. 

Rick has additional operational experience in Latin America & Africa and is currently preparing to instruct security forces in Brazil prior to the 2016 Olympics and other international training & operations ventures.

Rick moved to North Dakota from 2001 where he started this training academy and relocated to Reno, Nevada in 2008 & started another training branch there.  In 2010, Rick relocated back to rural North Dakota (in the middle of hunting & fishing country) where he oversees & conducts training operations in 10 states.

We have expanded to offer some very advanced law enforcement and military & contract operator training along with our associates nationwide and internationally through the Allthreat Training Group in order to help meet the training needs of folks on the front line against terrorists and active shooters.  Along with this type of training we are also offering Active Shooter Survival training for teachers, students & staff, churches, church security & protection team training & companies and their employees who are concerned about violent attacks in the workplace from intruders or disgruntled persons.

Our most popular courses are still the Concealed Firearms, Home Defense & Advanced Civilian Skills & Tactics, our new Scenario-Based Training for Concealed Carry Licensee's and for Home Defense and we continue to expand our territory with our Mobile Training Unit offering training locally throughout the western USA.

Our hand-picked staff of Instructors & Range Safety Officers complement our team of professionals with a variety of experience to include most who are Veterans representing all branches of the military to include the Army, Navy, Air Force & Marines, many of which also have Special Operations & Security Force & law enforcement experience as well.  Together we bring a vast amount of advanced firearms and security experience to benefit you, our student...  Not to mention, we are all pretty nice folks too!
