I took the Multi-State Utah, Florida &
Wyoming Concealed Firearm Permit/Basic Handgun Safety course
from Rick, while he was in Casper Wyoming on September 11. I
thought the class was well presented and orderly. Rick was able
to answer any and all questions that had been presented to him,
he also had a slide show to show how to properly fill out the
paper work, which was really nice so you know that it was
correct. Rick was also very willing to work with people that had
never held a handgun in their life. This course also has a very
nice hands on training session that allows you to apply the
methods that you have just been taught. Rick was an excellent
instructor, and I am looking forward to his advanced classes.
This course is well worth it.

My class on Sept. 11 2010. Utah Concealed
Firearm Permit. It was a great class. Very well done! It was
much more than expected.
Mike Garcia – Former Texas Peace Officer – Williston, ND
The training course was
awesome, Rick Anderson is top notch and the simulator program
was superb. I can’t wait to be able to take another course and
further my skills. As an ex peace officer I can honestly say the
program and simulator was the best training item available to
law enforcement and your everyday person. Keep up the great
work.

The training and testing at CCW academy is
exceptional. Rick Anderson delivered a professional, thorough,
and to-the-point presentation. This was followed by practical
hands-on instruction and competency evaluation, which was able
to engage both those experienced in firearms, and the novice.
With all that is at stake in preparing physically and mentally
for self defense, why trust anyone but a professional? Rick is
that professional.
Doyle H. - Marlin, Tx
Very informative and professionally
presented. Enjoyed the course and would recommend it to all.

CCW provided access to state laws and
important information about carrying concealed. The training I
received from CCW was for the Utah Concealed carry permit. Each
attendant received personnel attention to his or her questions
from the instructor. We were provided with extra training in
situations that may require the use of force not necessarily
deadly force. I would recommend CCW Acaemy for firearms
training to anyone wishing to obtain a concealed weapon permit.
CCW offers training for several states including North Dakota.
Jim & Ruth from Honolulu, Hawaii say:
We took Rick's class this
past Saturday, Dec. 27 with our son and daughter-in-law who live
in Reno, while we were here visiting for Christmas. What a
great class for anyone who not only wants a license to carry a
concealed weapon, but who wants to learn more about firearms in
general! Rick's attitude was very accepting to everyone and
everything -- not intimidating to the ladies in any way -- like
taking a gun class with a bunch of guys might be if NOT taught
by Rick. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole class experience even
though we had never fired a revolver before this class. Thanks,
Rick, for your gentle handling!

I took the Utah Concealed Firearms Permit
Training Course on June 26th, 2010, with Rick Anderson
instructing. Even though I live in the state of Wyoming, I
figured the information from the course would be invaluable.
Indeed it was, and Rick told the class that there was
reciprocity with the state of Wyoming and several other states
regarding the CCW permit issued from Utah. It was a very
informative class, covering a number of key legal issues and it
was also a lot of fun. I have recommended this class to my
friends and would recommend it to anybody. I have received my
CCW permit from the state of Utah. It took about seven weeks, so
be patient. Thanks, Rick.
Special Note: The State of Wyoming
also honors our class for their permit.
Martial B. of Sparks, Nv says:
I took Rick's class on
12/27/08. It was a great class and well taught. Rick's attitude
is great, and makes the class feel right at home. No tension
what so ever. Rick explained about what he has planed for future
classes and it really sounds good. I joined his Academy which is
a good deal and it gives you discounts on future classes. I
highly recommend it. Rick's background in law enforcement gives
him great knowledge in self defense and law. He and his wife are
very helpful and likeable and go out of there way to make the
class enjoyable. I am looking forward to taking more classes
with CCW Academy and I highly recommend taking the class from
Rick. Rick also makes himself available after you have taken his
class for questions by phone or e-mail for any help you might
need.

Professional, Courteous and Effective
Training. Thank You.
For an endorsement:
April 18th,
2009
I have taken the CCW Academy
course in Nevada and Utah Concealed Carry Permit from Rick
Anderson. The instruction was very professional. On the course
there were multiple instructors paying attention to every
shooter to ensure safety. Rick brings a lot experience to his
instruction with a military, police and private law enforcement
background. That came through in the defensive techniques he
taught. The other CCW instructors were also highly qualified.
The legal aspects of when
force can be used is more complicated than one would guess.
That aspect of the training was most informative. I am pleased
to endorse the CCW Academy for Concealed Carry Permits.

Tom D. – Member of CCW Academy says:
Earlier this year, my
wife mentioned that she would like to learn to handle and shoot
a gun. We became aware of CCW Academy, joined the academy, and
have, so far, attended three classes together - Basic Pistol,
CCW, and Home Defense I. We enjoyed each of the classes and
really learned a lot about all aspects of handling and shooting
pistols. When we go to the range, I'm really proud of my wife.
Her fear of guns has been replaced by a healthy respect and,
thanks to tips from Rick and the other instructors, right from
the start she has been able to shoot a revolver with consistent
accuracy. In fact, she scores higher on the targets than I do!
Why? Because I'm still unlearning bad habits I acquired before
CCW Academy.
We both qualified for our
carry permit the first time, but I've still got work to do on my
technique. The Academy instructors always provide helpful
suggestions for improvement.
I recommend CCW Academy to
anyone interested in pistol shooting, whether inexperienced or
experienced.
Knute M. from Stockton, Ca says:
As a new shooter I was
concerned about my skill set for taking this class. When I
arrived at the class and talked to the people waiting for class
to start I thought "Oh my goodness what am I doing here." But
the concerns went away when we met the instructors and class
started. Instruction was good and the shooting part non
threatening. Even found out I was better at shooting than some
of the more experienced people in the class. Sign up. You will
enjoy the class.
Tony K. from Fargo, ND says:
My wife and I enjoyed and
learned from Rick's training. The real life training and lessons
from the course were very good. No old stories or other
nonsense, just good factual training.
Tom M. from Reno, Nv says:
I participated in the Laser
Firearms Training Simulator class on 1/13/09. It was a lot of
fun to practice with a real gun (Glock or 1911) without having
to reload clips all the time. The Laser Firearms Training
Simulator can simulate almost any shot situation from stationary
to moving, from large targets to small, from any distance and
much more. Rick offered training tips and techniques on stance,
grip, sighting, and breathing that improved my shot pattern
considerably. By the end of the evening I felt more confident
using the weapon and using it correctly. The Laser Firearms
Training Simulator class is an easy and cost effective (saving
$$$ on ammo) way to practice in a comfortable environment. I
highly recommend this class and will taking it again. Check the
Laser Simulator Skill's Practice Schedule for upcoming dates...
and bring a friend.
Jim O. from Reno, Nv says:
I was last to arrive at 0859,
last to leave at 1920, on 1/3/09. Rick's class was on time,
extremely thorough, and left me with a desire to learn much
more. It is rewarding to go into a class thinking you know some
stuff, learn a lot, and leave realizing how little you really
did know. I am looking forward to further instruction from
Rick, I joined his academy (as did my Brother-in law) and had a
great time. He and his wife are very charming and
professional...I feel that I could have asked questions and kept
him there till midnight, without his objection. I highly
recommend this class!
Tom M. from Reno, Nv says:
I took
the 12/06/08 Utah CCW class with Rick (and Victor) and can
attest to the professionalism of each. Rick's low key approach
belies his substantial background knowledge in self-defense and
weaponry. Rick focuses not only on the required law information
to attain the CWP, but then takes the class into the areas of
holster wear, ammunition types and gunnery explaining which is
best for each individual need. Unlike some instructors, Rick
will stay as long as needed to insure that each student's needs
are satisfied when it comes to personal safety before they leave
the class, and then makes himself available afterward by email
or telephone for follow up. I highly recommend Rick and I look
forward to taking more classes with CCW Academy in the future. |
