What do I bring to class and to the range?
DO NOT BRING FIREARMS OR AMMUNITION INTO THE CLASSROOM For the Nevada & Utah Combined Concealed Firearms Classes, we have two separate sessions of training, often times that can be done the same day. There is a Classroom session and a Range session. Below is a list of items to bring to the classroom. For other training classes, we have a variety of modules depending on the class being offered. Classroom sessions are structured to be a positive and informative learning environment for everyone. Laser Simulator sessions are indoors and are usually done in small groups where one or two shooters will participate at a time on a rotating basis, usually in groups of no more than 10 and often times smaller groups. Live Range sessions will have no more than 10 shooters on the firing line at a time, often times, just 6 or 8 shooters. Safety is critical and highly stressed.

ALL STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO ADHERE TO THIS INSTRUCTION FOR THE SAFETY OF EVERYONE! STUDENT FIREARMS ARE TO BE STORED UNLOADED, CASED AND LOCKED IN THE LOCKED TRUNK OF A VEHICLE OR OTHER STORAGE THAT MAY BE PROVIDED AT SOME TRAINING SESSIONS. ANY STUDENT WHO VIOLATES THESE OR OTHER SAFETY PROVISIONS MAY BE COUNSELED, SANCTIONED OR DISMISSED FROM THE CLASS AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE INSTRUCTOR.
Range procedures and safety rules will be covered in class. Students are expected to bring their guns to the range unloaded and cased and have at least 30 rounds of target ammunition per handgun that they wish to shoot. Below is a list of what to bring to the range. Know that any violation of safety at the range will result in a student being asked to leave and disqualified from the course. When you select your guns to qualify with, keep in mind a few guidelines that will help you make the best selection: 1. Select a gun that functions reliably (that does not jam frequently or have other functional problems). Do not bring a dirty gun to class. Guns that are very dirty likely are highly prone to malfunctions. If a gun malfunctions too much or has other functional reliability problems, you probably don't want to rely on it as a defense firearm anyway. 2. Select a caliber that is a common defense caliber ie: between .32 and .45 calibers (NO HUNTING CALIBERS OR MAGNUM LOADS) - Hunting calibers have too much power and are not defense calibers). 3. If possible, shoot and then clean your firearms prior to coming to class. Know how your firearms function and be as familiar as possible with your firearms prior to class. The more you are familiar with your firearms before the class, the better your class experience will be. We have guns that students can rent with ammunition supplied in order to qualify with those popular makes & models for their Nevada Concealed Firearm Permit. The guns we have in rental are popular ones that the Instructor recommends in particular for both novice and advanced shooters. On occasion, we will have large classroom sessions, however our range sessions will include no more than 10 students per instructor on the firing line to insure safety. Often times, there will be only 6 to 8 shooters on the live firing line at a time for safety and range control, and to provide the best instruction and attention to each individual student. We like and appreciate every student and want everyone to have a positive, quality experience and of course safety is our highest priority. We look forward to you having a wonderful, positive experience. BRING THE FOLLOWING TO THE RANGE:
